brilliantly overcame mighty England and SARC overcame mighty Freshfields! We would like to extend our thanks to the Law Society and to the many firms around the country for their generous support of our trip. Last, but not least, we would like to thank the players who travelled with us without whom we could not have conquered London.

This year the Irish Solicitors Apprentices Rugby Club (SARC) was invited by Freshfields, Solicitors of London Rugby XV to a challenge match on February 20 in the Civil Service Sports Grounds at Chiswick, London. Not only will this trip stay with us for many years to come because of the "champagne rugby" that was exhibited against Freshfields, but also because we were fortunate to experience a memorable victory over England by the Irish Rugby XV.
