Presentation of Batik to C.C.B.E. Headquarters

Cooke, S.C, President of the CCB.£' The Irish delegation to the Consultative Committee of the Bars and Law Societies of the European Community recently presented a Batik by Matthew 0' Connell, to Mr. John D. Cooke, S.C., President of the C.C.B.E. The Batik will hang in the new offices of the C.C.B.E. in Brussels, and reproduces a page from the Book of Kells, on pure Irish linen, depicting a decorative initial "u" surrounded by four angels.
