No. 9 of 1962) APPOINTMENTS Mr. Gerald Hickey, Solicitor, a member of the Council of the Society, has been appointed to be a member of the Industrial Development Authorities. Mr. Donal M. King, former solicitor to Dublin County Council has been appointed solicitor to Cork Corporation. Mr. Dermot Jones, formerly of the Land Registry, has been appointed solicitor to the Agri cultural Credit Corporation. OBITUARY MR. EAMONN CROWLEY died in the Richmond Hospital, Dublin, on 13th March, 1971. Mr. Crowley was the sole partner in the firm of Crowley, Bolger and Cusack, Solicitors, 3/4 Lower O'Connell Street, Dub lin, and had been admitted in Michaelmas Term 1941.

RAYMOND MEREDITH died on 10 July, 1970 in the Tivoli Nursing Home, Dun Laoghaire at the age of 76. Mr. Meredith was apprenticed to his father, the late Mr. Fred erick W. Meredith, was admitted in Hilary Term 1920 and had been a partner in the firm of Meredith and Son first in Kildare Street and subsequently in Molesworth Street, Dublin. MR. JOSEPH BRAZIL died in St. Michael's Hospital, Dun Laoghaire, on 27th March 1971. Mr. Brazil was admitted in Michaelmas Term 1925, and practised in Wicklow. He had been County Solicitor for Wicklow. MR. JOSEPH HUGHES died, in Tuam on 4th March 1971. Mr. Hughes was admitted in Trinity Term 1938 and practised under the style of Messrs. William J. Concannon and Co., in Tuam, Co. Galway. MR. JOHN C. REEDY died on 17th March 1971, in Birr. Mr. Reedy was admitted in Michaelmas Term 1950 and practised under the style of Messrs. J. J. Kennedy and Co., in Emmet Square, Birr, Co. Offaly. 247
