IMPORTANT. P ractising C ertificates , 1955-56. (1) Members are reminded that practising certificates for the year to end 5th January, 1956, should be taken out on or after 6th January, 1955, and before 6th February, 1955, in order to take effect as a qualification to practise from 6tn January. (2) Under the provisions o f the Solicitors’ Act, 1954, the declaration to be lodged with the Society on applying f o r a practising certificate shall be completed and signed by the applicant personally unless the Registrar on the ground o f illness or some other sufficient ground dispenses with personal signature o f the declaration. Dublin agents o f country solicitors should therefore take up the certificates in good time and forward them fo r signature to their correspondents. (3) A form of directions in regard to applications for practising certificates for the year 1955-56 will be sent to each practising solicitor before 5th January, 1955.
