Younger Members meet Southern Law Society The Younger Members Committee of the Law Society in conjunction with the Southern Law Society, held a changed to reflect the ever changing needs and views of their profession. apprentices and as younger members.

Seminar/Social get together in the Imperial Hotel on Friday the 24th March last at 6.00 pm.

There was a very good response, approximately 4 0 - 50 Younger Members j turned up in the Imperial Hotel and the | talk which was given by Orla Coyne was very informal in relation to the ! Younger Members Committee, what ! work it has done, its aims and events ! that it holds throughout the year. Shaw in relation to his work on Council, and more particularly the Review Group | which is up and running at present. • After the talks, people were éncouraged j to meet with the speakers, and in fact a j number of people did approach the I speakers requesting further information I in relation to the Younger Members Committee, and also in relation to other matters which directly affected them as A further talk was given by John

, This arose out of discussions which had taken place between the Southern Law Association and the Younger Members Committee of the lack of information that certain younger members of the Society felt that they were not obtaining in relation to the work and aim of the Younger Members Committee. This year, we have not only a number of Council members on our Committee, but actually one of the Council members, namely John Shaw is also a member of the Review Group which has been set up by the Law Society to review the internal workings of the Law Society, and how possibly they can be
