John Dillon Leetch, the provincial delegate for Connaught, practises in a two-solicitor firm, T. Dillon Leetch & Sons. He is currently Vice-President of the Mayo Bar Association. He says he has a particular interest in issues affecting rural practitioners. He is concerned that many areas of work undertaken by solicitors are becoming j unprofitable and he says that the j Society must resist, as forcefully as | possible, threats to traditional areas of | solicitors' work such as conveyancing and probate posed by the forthcoming | Solicitors Bill. He says he would also be opposed to any provision in the Bill which would permit fees advertising by solicitors.
