The Qua l i ty of t he Serv i ce Do to others as you would like to have done to yourself. All of us are critical of the poor or inefficient service. We don't like being kept waiting. We like to know what is happening to our case and if there is a problem we like to be informed of what is wrong. Apply this to your own practice. Did you keep clients waiting last week? Did you follow something up that you promised to do? Did you inform your client about the problem in his case? Very few of us can put our hands on our hearts and answer " No " to these questions. So tomorrow, call your secretary in and make an appointment diary for the week and keep it. No more will you allow the person who drops in for a chat and only to see you for a second, to upset your schedule. Make an extra carbon of the letter you write to the other side and send it to your client. If he gets this, he will not be ringing in to find out what is happening. These are simple matters and probably a lot of you are doing them already. What they do is to show to the client how important be is in your eyes and how concerned you are to give him the best service that you can. Remember the client is the most important person in your office. There is nothing more satisfying or Pleasant than the client who says
