The President 1987/88 Thomas D. Shaw, Senior Partner in J. A. Shaw & Co., Solicitors, Mullingar, has been elected President of the Society. He was educated at St. Gerard's School, Bray, Clongowes Wood College, and at University College Dublin where he obtained a BCL degree. He qualified as a solicitor in 1959 and is married with six children.
