Let it be the Judges." —The Judge in Ireland. 2. Wednesday, 26th November, 1986, Dr. James Walsh, FRCPI, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Department of Health, AIDS in Ireland — The Prognosis. 3. Thursday, 29th January, 1987, Dr. Desmond McGrath, FRCPI, FRCPsych, DPM, Medical Director, St. John of God Hospital, Stillorgan, Dublin and Consultant Psychiatrist to St. Laurence's (Richmond) Hospital, Dublin, a Past President of the Society, on Schizophrenia — Some Medico-Legal Aspects. 4. Thursday, 26th February, 1987, Dr. Derek L. Carson, Deputy State Pathologist, Northern Ireland, on "What is Natural Death?" 5. Thursday, 26th March, 1987, The Hon. Mr. Justice Niall McCarthy, Judge of the Supreme Court, a Past President of the Society, on "First, Let's Kill All The Lawyers!" 6. Monday and Tuesday, 4th and 5th May, 1987 (mornings only), Joint International Meeting with Canadian Medico-Legal Societies in Berkeley Court Hotel, Lansdowne Road, Dublin 4. Topics and speakers will be announced later. 7. Saturday, 16th May, 1987, Annual Dinner of the Society. Further details in relation to the dinner will be published later. Members and their guests are invited to join the Council and the guest speakers for dinner at 6.00 p.m. for 6.30 p.m. on the evening of each lecture. Members intending to dine must communicate not later than the day before the dinners with the Hon. Secretary, Miss Mary McMurrough Murphy, B.L., at 2 Whitebeam Road, Clonskeagh, Dublin 14, (Tel. 694280) or at the Law Library, Four Courts, Dublin 7, (Tel. 720622). The regular meetings and dinners will be held in the United Service Club, St. Stephen's Green, Dublin 2, by kind permission. The meetings are scheduled for 8.30 p.m. Membership of the Society is open to members of the medical and legal professions and to others especially interested in medico-legal matters. The current annual subscription is £8.00. Persons seeking to become members of the Society should communicate with the Honorary Secretary. •

All monies received by the Society are expended within the Republic of Ireland.

purposes. The "Cancer Research Advancement Board"allocates
