One cannot use the survey results to draw a direct relationship between the degree of satisfaction last time and the type of services used, since many of the users had gone to solicitors for different types of service and advice during the previous five years. Nevertheless, there were some interesting pointers. The proportion claiming to be entirely satisfied last time and having dealt with a solicitor regarding wills or probate was 46%; the comparable proportion whose dealings related to house sales was 40% and for other family matters, 42%. Amongst respondents whose concerns included company or business matters, however, the proportion entirely satisfied was only 36%. The indications there- fore are that those whose dealings were domestic or otherwise of a pesonal nature tended to have been more satisfied on the last occasion they dealt with a solicitor than those whose dealings were connected with com- pany or business matters. •
