The C.C.B.E. which represents the 12 Bars and Law Societies of the member States of the European Community has established an auxiliary service for lawyers or groups of lawyers doing business in Brussels at its headquarters at 40 rue Washington, Brussels. The service which is entitled SABE (Service auxiliaries de Barreaux européens) will make available documen- tation, office facilities, consultation rooms and a basic introduction to the main languages of the European Community. Lawyers wishing to register as users of the service should communicate with Mme J. Grosjean, Adminis- trative Secretary of the CCBE, giving details of the estimated frequency of their personal use of the service. Suggestions regarding the service will also be welcome. This is to assist in assessing the demand from among the 250,000 lawyers in the European Community, in fixing a budget for the operation of the service and the conditions of access to the service. On an experimental basis, at present, all requests to the service, whether in person, by post, telephone or telex should be addressed to Mme. J.
