ITELIS is Ireland's new computerised legal information retrieval service. It will enable you to carry out fast comprehensive research directly from your office or home. ITELIS is jointly owned by the Irish Times Ltd. and Eurolex, a Thomson International Company, which has the largest collection of U.K. Law and European Law on a database. ITELIS couldn't be simpler to use. It works on any standard terminal with a modem which links to your standard telephone line. ITELIS is cost effective. Research on Eurolex has shown that days of manual search can be carried out in a matter of minutes (the average search on Eurolex lasts 12 minutes).

ITELIS is designed to meet Ireland's legal information requirements. Initially Irish Reports from 1950 to date are available under an exclusive agreement with the Incorporated Council of Law Reporting for Ireland. User Groups will ensure that future developments will he market led. Through ITELIS via Eurolex and Westlaw you can also access a huge database of U.K., E.E.C. and U.S. law.
