Entries received after 4 p.m. on the specified closing date will not be considered. All entry forms should be accompanied by the appropriate fee as specified in the Solicitors Acts 1954 and 1960 (Apprentices Fee) Regulations, 1977, which are as follows:

First Law (Old Regulations)

Applications received without the entry fees will not be accepted. The Education Committee will only consider applications for exemption from sitting the First Law Examination from those who have entered for the examination, paid the prescribed fee and furnished the appropriate evidence of their degree qualification. Unless one becomes apprenticed prior to the 1st September 1978 a person will lose the option of qualifying under the old regulations. JAMES J. IVERS (Director General) March 1978
