SUCCESS OF ONE DAY COURSES

Professional Course of Training for Apprentices, which will commence in February next, express themselves as pleased with the opportunities which the courses gave them of testing some of their course materials in advance and of familiarising themselves with the use of audio- visual apparatus in an actual teaching situation. While the efforts of the Society's Education Department in the immediate future will be directed exclusively to the new Professional Training Course it is hoped that a further series of one day courses can be programmed in the not too distant future.

The first series of one day courses for recently qualified solicitors concluded with the Commercial Law Course held on November 22nd. The Society's Education Committee and Staff were particularly pleased to have as a guest at the Commercial Law Course Kevin O'Leary, Director of the Legal Work Shop at Australian National University at Canberra and a pioneer in Professional Legal Training Courses. Analysis of the reports made by each participant in each of the courses shows a high degree of satisfaction with the courses.
