PATRICK O'DONNELL ,T.D. died on 6th October 1970, in Meath Hospital, Dublin at the age of 63 years. Mr. O'Donnell was admitted at Easter 1930 and practised under the style of O'Donnell and Sweeney, which had offices in Dungloe, Glenties, and Killybegs in County Done gal. Mr. O'Donnell had been a member of the Council of the Law Society from 1957, was Vice- President in 1962-63 and in 1965-66, and President in 1966-67. Mr. O'Donnell had been a Deputy for Donegal since 1948, and was Minister for Local Government in the Inter-Party Government from 1954 to 1957. An application has been received from the registered owner mentioned in the Schedule hereto for the issue of a land certificate in substitution for the original land certificate issued n respect of the lands specified in the schedule which original land certificate is stated to have been lost or inadvertenly destroyed. A new certificate wlil be issused unless notification is received in the Registry within twenty eight days from the date of publciations of this notice that the original certificate is in existence and in the custody of some person other than the registered owner. Any such notification should THE SAMARITANS The Dublin Branch of The Samaritans urgently needs mature professional and business men as volunteers to assist in its work. The Samaritans, which is a voluntary lay non- denominational organisation, exist to give help primarily to the suicidal and other despairing people. That is done by befriending those in need from the time of first contact and extending them all the love, support, encouragement and under standing one would give to one's personal friends in time of need. Since the Dublin Branch started functioning less than twelve months ago approximately 1,000 persons have sought its help. A preparation course for new volunteers com mences on 19th March 1971.
