The following was among the business trans acted : Taxing Master Following a discussion on the position which arises from the vacancy caused by the retirement of Master O'Reilly it was decided that a deputa tion should go to the Minister for Justice with a view to stressing the importance of filling the vacancy at an early date. Land Commission acquisitions. Payment in Land Bonds The Council received correspondence dealing with the hardship on owners whose lands are acquired through the payment of purchase money and costs in Land Bonds which in many cases will become seriously depreciated before the date of allocation. A deputation was appointed to seek an interview with the Minister for Justice, the Minister for Lands and the Land Judge and to propose that the purchase price of lands acquired should be
