SOLICITORS' APPRENTICES NEWS The Liaison Committee The Council of the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland at their meeting held on 9th January, 1969 decided that a committee consisting of 6 Apprentices be established, two apprentices to be elected by each class attending lectures for the First Law, Second Law and Third Law Examinations. Nominations for the election of members to the Committee closed on Friday 24th January, 1969. There was no contest in the First Law Class and accordingly Mr. John J. Cotfey and Mr. Declan Moylan were declared elected. There was no contest in the Second Law Class and Miss Rosary Waldron and Mr. Michael Murray were declared elected. In the Third Law Class there were four candidates. Mr. Terence E. Dixon, Mr. Herbert Mulligan, Mr. Patrick Neligan and Mr. Oran Ryan. Voting took place on Tuesday, 28th January, the results was as follows: Mr. Herbert Mulligan, 49 votes, Mr. Terence Dixon 42 votes, Mr. Oran Ryan, 19 votes, Mr. Patrick Neligan 10 votes. Mr. Mulligan and Mr. Dixon were declared elected. The Returning Officer was Mr. Joseph G. Finnegan, the Assistant Secretary. The members for the Liaison Committee for 1969 are: .lohn J.
