say five years later he would receive benefit as before for as long as his disability lasted up to age sixty-five. Any amount of benefit can be effected under the scheme subject to certain maximum limita tions; the overriding limitations are that the periodic income under the scheme shall not exceed 75 per cent of the members nett relevant earnings or £50 per week. Premiums for disability benefit do not rank for taxation relief. The full annual contribution to secure pension benefits may be set off as a deduc tion for income tax and surtax purposes subject to certain limits prescribed by the Finance Act, 1958. Members interested in this scheme should get in touch with the consultants who will advise them on their own particular problems. A staff of qualified actuaries, technical and administrative personnel are available to give free advice to any member on his personal assurance problem.
