SOCIETY OF YOUNG SOLICITORS A large attendance at Buswells Hotel, Moles- worth Street, Dublin, on the 26th of January heard His Honour Judge Conroy deliver a paper on the Rent Act. Judge Conroy dealt at length with the changes which will be made to the existing Rent Acts by the new Rent Restrictions Bill. However, he contemplates that a great deal of change will be made to the Bill as introduced when it passes its final stages. The next lecture was held, as usual, at Bus- wells Hotel, Molesworth Street, Dublin, on the 16th of February when the subject was on Estate Duty Practice. The following lecture will be held on 23rd March and the subject will be Costs Drawing, No. 1. This is part of a series of lectures on Cost Drawing which will be delivered to the Society. Members of the profession have been circulated with details of the forthcoming Joint Seminal- Weekend to be held on the 8th and 9th April in Galway. Applications for registration should be sent in immediately as it is expected that there will be a very heavy booking for this weekend. Details of the Society's publications have also been circulated to all members of the profession and should be retained for future reference. REGISTRATION OF TITLE ACTS, 1891 and 1942 Issue of New Land Certificate Applications have been received from the registered owners mentioned in the schedule annexed hereto, for the issue of Certificates of Title in substitution for the original certificates issued in respect of the lands speci fied in the said schedule, which original certificates, it is alleged, have been lost or inadvertently destroyed. A new certificate will be issued in each case, except a case in respect of which notification is received in this Registry within 28 days from the publication of this notice, that the Certificate of Title is still in existence, and in the custody of some person other than the regis tered owner.
