ac^' . 1 he Council passed the following resolution: their appreciation of the services to the profession of Mr. Niall S. Gaffney who did not offer himself for re-election in November last. Mr. Gaffney was elected as an ordinary member of the Council in November 1946 and served con- tinuously from that date until November 1966. . He was bemor Vice-President of the Society in 1955-56 and served as President in 1956-57.
