Lands of Knockna- ganny in the Barony of Carbury containing oa. i r. i p. 3. Registered Owner Patrick McCabe. Folio number 20047 , County Cavan. Lands of Cargagh containing 2oa. or .3op. and Lands of Corrateinner containing oa. ir. 27p., both situate in the Barony of Castlerahan. CORRECTION The Supreme Court, per O'Dalaigh, J. held that, in a conviction for an offence created by statute, it is not sufficient to allege the offence in the words of the statute. Convictions for offences contrary to Section 30 and 51 of the Road Traffic Act, 1933 were bad because of their failure to specify that the offences are statutory either by express reference to the Act or by employing the formula " contrary to the statute in such case made and provided". (State—Cunningham ;'. District Justice O'Flynn, 29th January, 1960, unreported.) The unofficial report of this case published at page 18 of THE GAZETTE for June 1960 is incorrect and the above note should be substituted. We regret having misled members by the publication of an incorrect version of this report. In the absence of the official report we used information from a usually reliable source.
