Exchange Control Act, 1954- T h e Secretary stated that a letter had been received from the Department o f Finance enquiring whether the Society would agree to a regulation whereby solicitors would be included among the persons and bodies named as authorised depositories of certain securities under the Act. It was decided that the Department should be informed that the Council would agree to such a regulation but asking for a copy o f the draft regulations before they are made. Election to Seanad Eireann. M essrs . Mayne and Sheil, Vice-Presidents, were asked to represent the Society at a meeting o f the nominating bodies which was summoned to con­ sider proposals for changing the present system of election to Seanad Eireann. ioth F ebruary : The President in the Chair.
