APPOINTMENTS MR. DERMOD M. F. WALSH has been appointed Law Agent to Dublin Corporation in place of Mr. Ignatius Rice who recently retired. Mr. Walsh was admitted in Trinity Sittings 1933, and has been acting as Assistant Law Agent since 1942. MR. MATTHEW PURCELL has been appointed Law Agent to Dublin Co. Council. Mr. Purcell was admitted in Michaelmas Sittings 1935, and has been Law Agent to Cork Co. Council since 1945. He was Lecturer in Common Law to the Society from 1938 to 1943. JAMES DICKIE, Solicitor, died at his residence Seatown House, Swords, Co. Dublin, on 27th January, 1949. Mr. Dickie served his apprenticeship with the late Mr. Robert Dickie, Dundalk, was admitted in Easter Sittings, 1898, and practised at 25 Bachelor's Walk, Dublin, up to his retirement in 1919. MR. PATRICK ROONEY died at a Dublin Nursing Home on 26th January, 1949. Mr. Rooney was admitted in Hilary Sittings, 1893, and practised at 34 Kildare Street, Dublin, as senior partner in the firm of T. F. O'Connell, Rooney & Co. He was a member of the Council of this Society from the year 1914 to 1924 and Vice-President for years 1919—20. REGISTER C.
