stated that he had not in fact examined or cross- examined witnesses at the Inquiry, but had confined himself to making a statement on behalf of his Association. It was ordered that • the Secretary should reply stating that the Council accept the statement that no witnesses were cross-examined or examined by the Secretary of the R.I.A.C., but that the making of a speech or submission of an argument by an unqualified person, acting otherwise than on his own behalf, and not appearing merely in the capacity of a witness, would be con sidered by the Council as exercising the functions of an advocate. PROFESSIONAL ITEMS Ordnance Survey Maps THE Ordnance Survey Office have put into operation a scheme whereby Engineers, Architects, Surveyor s Solicitors and other persons will be entitled to make hand copies of Ordnance Survey maps and plans subject to the payment of a compounded royalty fee of j/- per Calendar Year.
