THE President reported that, with the Secretary, he had interviewed officials of the Department of Supplies with a view to obtaining an allowance of petrol for solicitors for business purposes. He pointed out particularly the difficulty experienced by country solicitors in carrying on their practice- having regard to the difficulties of obtaining transport to attend the various courts. The officials of the Department had fully appreciated these difficulties but had informed him that there is very little hope at the present time that the existing restrictions on the supplies of petrol could be raised in respect of the Solicitors' Pro in
