Committees and Court of Examiners. The Committees of the Council and the Court of Examiners for the year ending 26th November, 1935, were appointed. THE INCORPORATED LAW SOCIETY OF NORTHERN IRELAND. Mr. William C. Gage has been elected President of the Society for 1934-35. THE SOUTHERN LAW ASSOCIATION. Mr. James J. McCabe has been elected President of the Association for 1934-35. OBITUARY. MR. ROBERT BOAL, Solicitor, died on the 17th December, 1934, at his residence, Lislea, Ballymena. Mr. Boal served his apprenticeship with the late Mr. J. K. Currie, Ballymena; was admitted in Trinity Sittings, 1888, and practised in partnership with Mr. Samuel Anderson, under the style of Boal and Anderson, at Ballymena. MR. EDWARD C. JAMESON, Solicitor, died on the 18th December, 1934. Mr. Jameson was admitted in Michaelmas Sittings, 1884, and practised at 182 Pearse Street, Dublin (in partnership with the late Mr. Robert T. F. Greene), under the style of Jameson and Greene. MR. AINSWORTH BARR, Solicitor, died on the 19th December, 1934, at Belfast. Mr. Barr served his apprenticeship with the late Mr. J. D. Coates, Belfast; was

MEETINGS OF THE COUNCIL.
6th December. Twenty-seven Members present.
Election of President and Viee-Presidents. The Council elected Mr. Charles Laverty to be President of the Society, and Mr. Eugene F. Collins and Mr. Philip N. Smith to be Vice- Presidents for the ensuing twelve months. 13th December. Fifteen Members present. Extra-ordinary Members. A letter from the Southern Law Associa– tion was read giving the names of the following members as those elected as Extra– ordinary Members of this Council for the ensuing twelve months: Mr. James J. MacCabe (President), Mr. B. St. J. Galvin, Mr. J. J. Morgan, Mr. E. Emerson, and Mr. P. J. Kavanagh. Statutory Committee. A letter was read from the Chief Justice appointing the following members of the Council to be the Statutory Committee for the year ending 26th November, 1935 : Mr. Laverty, Mr. Bradlej?, Mr. Duggan, Mr. Lynch, Mr. Reilly, Mr. Scales, and Mr. Thompson.
