The Committee reported that they had had an interview with repre– sentatives of the Bar Council, and the steps which the representatives of both bodies suggested to be taken to endeavour to carry the matter further. OBITUARY. MR. GEORGE F. FLEMING, Solicitor, died on 5th June, 1933, in Dublin. Mr. Fleming was admitted Sittings, 1889, and practised at Arklow. in Hilary MR. JOHN TAYLOR, Solicitor, died on the 6th June, 1933, at Ballymena. Mr. Taylor served his apprenticeship with Mr. Henry S. Robinson, Londonderry ; was admitted in Trinity Sittings, 1923, and practised at Ballymena. MR. HUGH A. ANDERSOX, Solicitor, died on the 16th June, 1933, at Ferndene, Coleraine. Mr. Anderson served his apprenticeship with his brother, Mr. Charles R. Anderson, Coleraine ; was admitted in Hilary Sittings, 1894, and practised as a member of the firm of Anderson & Co., at Coleraine. MR. THOMAS J. DEERING, Solicitor, died on the 21st June, 1933, at Dublin. Mr. Deering served his apprenticeship with Mr. Randall A. Howe, Dublin ; was admitted in Easter Sittings, 1904, and practised as a member of the firm of Lynch & Deering, at 12 Lower Ormond Quay, Dublin.

A resolution was passed expressing the regret of the Council at the death of Mr. A. F. Blood, K.C., who for some years past repre– sented the Society in Court proceedings, and conveying to Mrs. Blood and the members of his family the sympathy of the Council in their bereavement. Intermediate Examination. The report of the Court of Examiners upon the June Intermediate Examination was submitted and adopted. Appointment of Solicitor to Tipperary Urban District Council. A letter was read from the Hon. Secretary of Tipperary and Offaly Sessions Bar enclosing particulars of the terms oftered to intending applicants for the vacant position of Solicitor to Tipperary Urban District Council. The matter was referred to a Special Committee The result of the scrutiny of ballot papers for election of Provincial Delegate for Ulster on the Council was submitted. Mr. Gillespie was declared elected. Law Books. A report was submitted from the Special Committee of the Council which has been for some time considering the question of the desirability of the publication of editions of law books dealing with the law and practice for consideration.
