NOTES ON SOLICITORS' COSTS. This work has been compiled by Mr. Garrett Gill, Chief Clerk of the Taxing Masters' Office, Four Courts. The Council commend the book to the pro– fession as a most valuable aid in the prepara– tion of bills of costs. The book can be had from Messrs. Hodges, Figgis and Co., 20 Nassau Street, Dublin, C.2. ; price one pound net, by post one pound and sixpence. LAND PURCHASE. Section 36, Land Act, 1931. In all cases in which an order for payment of interest on the Land Bonds has been made under the above Section, it will be necessary for the Solicitor for the Owner or the Solicitor having Carriage, to have on the vouching of the Allocation Schedule an accurate account of the disbursement of such interest, accom– panied by the necessary vouchers. When a redemption price that has been provisionally fixed for the purposes of this Section is subsequently varied by a final re– demption order made prior to the allocation, the payment of interest on the redemption price should be adjusted accordingly, and such adjustment should be clearly shown in the account. Solicitors, Agents and others interested are referred to the Circular " Provisional Sug– gestions for Applications under Section 36 of the Land Act, 1931," copies of which can be obtained post free from Mr. R.
