Regulations.

Ballot for Council. The Ballot for Election of Council will be held on Monday, 21st November, from eleven to one o'clock, in the -Secretary's Office, 45 Kildare Street, Dublin. Voting papers should reach the Secretary not later than one o'clock on the 21st November. Half-yearly General Meeting. The Half-yearly General Meeting of the Society will be held at two o'clock, p.m., on Monday, 28th November, in the offices of the Society, 45 Kildare Street, Dublin. Meetings of the Council. 6th October. Fifteen Members present. High Court Orders. The President was requested to interview the Master of the High Court in reference to copies of Orders issued from the Central Scrivenery Office. Mr. Denrcche—Special Examiner. A letter was read from Mr. Denroche tendering his resignation of the office of Special Examiner, owing to his no longer having adequate time to devote to the work of the office. The Council accepted with very much regret the resignation. 27th October. Twenty-four Members present. Rules. A resolution was received from the Pro vincial Solicitors' Association suggesting certain amendments in High Court and District Court Rules. The resolution was referred to a Committee for consideration.

It was resolved the Court of Examiners should report to the Council on steps necessary to bring the new regulations as to examinations into operation. Annual Report. The draft Annual Report of the Council was considered and adopted. Obituary. MR. SAMUEL CURRIE, Solicitor, died upon the 19th August, 1927, at BaUymena. Mr. Currie served his apprenticeship with Mr. Joseph M. Kennedy, Ballymena ; was admitted in Hilary Sittings, 1902, and practised at Ballymena. MR. CLAUDE C. HAMILTON, Solicitor, died upon the 30th August, 1927, at his residence, " Dolwaenydd," Omagh. Mr. Hamilton served his apprenticeship with Mr. King Houston, Omagh; was admitted in Hilary Sittings, 1895, and practised at Omagh up to 1900, in which year he was appointed Secretary to Tyrone County Council. MR. PATRICK M. GALLAGHER, Solicitor, died upon the 30th August, 1927, at his residence, '' Lisdanar," Donegal. Mr. Gallagher was admitted in Michaelmas Term, 1873, and practised at Donegal. MR. EDWARD \V. CHIDLEY, Solicitor, died upon the 15th September, 1927, at Bellingew, New South Wales. Mr. Chidley served his apprenticeship with Mr. Henry B. Fitzgerald, Dublin, and was admitted in Trinity Sittings, 1891. that
