March 12th. Eighteen Members present. Death of Mr. H. J. Synnott.

A resolution was passed expressing the deep regret of the Council at the death of Mr. Henry J. Synnott, a past President of the Society, and expressing the sympathy of the Council with his relatives. Damage to Property (Compensation) Act, 1923. A letter was read in reply from the Attorney General stating that the Minister of Finance has the preparation of a scale in accordance with Section II (1) under consideration, and that he hopes shortly to submit a draft of same to the President of this Society for his consideration. Law Courts. A letter was read from Mr. Horan, K.C., enclosing copy of letter from the Revenue Commissioners relative to the question of establishing a Stationery Office at the Stamp Office, Dublin Castle, for the sale

A resolution was passed expressing the deep regret of the Council at the death of Mr. Frederick W. Meredith, a past President of the Society, and expressing the sympathy of the Council with Mrs. Meredith and his family. Damage to Property (Compensation) Act, 1923. A letter was read in reply stating that the Minister of Finance regrets that he is unable to consent to the application of the Criminal Injuries Amending Rules, 1924, to decrees made prior to the 1st January, 1924.
