' J> leases of five separate houses -\Jere granted by the same lessors on the same 'day to the same lessee, to whom each lease gave an option of purchasing .the fee-simple, in which case he was to pay all legal and other expenses of the lessors as vendors, it being stated that the intention of the parties was that the lessors should be put to no expense in respect of the conveyance. The lessee by one letter exercised each of the five options, received only one' abstract of title, and required only one conveyance of .all the five houses. The vendors' solicitors (declined to allow all the houses to be conveyed by one deed, except- on the terms that they should not be deprived of any part of the costs under the leases, and claimed to charge in respect of each house the scale fee for " deducing title and perusing and completing conveyance ": 'Held, that the vendors' solicitors could' not charge a separate scale fee for each house, but were only entitled to treat the whole property as subject to one contract, and to charge ; one fee in respect of the whole. - , „ • ''- -^.vAr Reported 1908. i Chancery^ page_452.
